Achieving professional certification as a project management trainer can have many benefits, including building trust, credibility, and reputation with clients. Certified professionals are considered more reliable and productive and may charge higher commissions.

The applicant has the following certification options in the Trainers Domain:

IPMA Level A

Certified Executive Trainer in project management

Candidate Role

Acts at a strategic level as an educator for individuals or groups of people or for their organizations. It is responsible for designing, providing and delivering education and training services that have a strategic impact on the organization.

Eligibility

Acting within his last eight (8) years of professional experience, he has at least: A minimum experience of 5 years and 1,500 effective hours of experience in leading training with an important performance at a strategic level for people, teams and organizations.

Once the proposal is accepted by the responsible evaluators, the next step is to send a complete report of the STAR challenges that he faced, written following the STAR method and evidencing complexity management according to the complexity management elements of the project, program or portfolio for IPMA. Level A. Your report will be evaluated according to the key competency indicators (KCI) established in the evaluation system.

Finally, an interview (1.5 to 2 hours) is scheduled with the responsible evaluators to discuss the documentation provided and analyze strengths and weaknesses of knowledge and experience through specific personalized questions, as well as qualities and aptitudes of the candidate in relation to their application in project management.

Note: The candidate must make a 10-15 minute presentation on the content of their documentation.

Acceptance and pass criteria

The criteria for the evaluation of Level A is based on the combination of the review of the resume, the validation of the list of projects, programs and portfolios submitted, the evaluation of the complexity of the project that is submitted as a report and the passing of the interview process, all according to the criteria established in the ICRCCT and that in a weighted way must reflect a score greater than 80% of the achievement of the elements of domain competencies that the candidate applies. To pass a competency element (CE) it is required to demonstrate compliance with at least 50% of the key competency indicators (KCI) of the element.

IPMA Level B

Certified Senior Trainer in project management

Candidate Role

Acts as an educator for individuals or groups of people or for their organizations. Responsible for designing, providing and delivering education and training services that have an impact on the organization, teams and people.

Eligibility

Acting within his last five (5) years of professional experience, he has at least: A minimum experience of 3 years and 1,000 effective hours of training experience with significant performance at the managerial level for individuals, teams and organizations.

If the candidate does not have an IPMA certification, they must take an oral knowledge test that will be scheduled by the PCC secretary.

IPMA LEVEL C

Certified Trainer in Project Management

Candidate Role

Acts as an educator and / or trainer for individuals or groups of individuals or for their organizations. It is responsible for providing and delivering education and training services that have a certain impact on the organization, teams and people.

Eligibility

Operating in an environment of moderate complexity, has in the last six years at least: A minimum experience of 6 months and 500 effective hours of experience in education and / or training tasks for individuals, teams and organizations.

To pass a competency element (CE) it is required to demonstrate compliance with at least 50% of the key competency indicators (KCI) of the element.
